Bring the prodigal son home and give us what we have been missing upfront...pace and an eye for goal. Would the Board sanction a big fee? I have my doubts but one things for sure - i know he'd make a difference. K R O |

I would take AJ back but i dont think the board will sanction the fee that it would take to tempt Palace to sell. They are back around the play off positions and will rely on Aj to get them back into the prem. I wonder whether he would come back here to work with the man who sold him off? |

No way should we spend big for AJ. We had plenty of chances to see him at St.Andys. Let's remember that he couldn't hold his first team place against Horse, Mooney, etc, in the first division. He didn't become a wonder player when he went to Palace. He had a great first season in the Prem - fair play to him - but that is often the way. Many of his goals were pens & I reckon that defences had got him sussed by the end of the season. Don't get me wrong, I'd be happy to pay £2-3m for AJ as our 4th striker, but he is going to cost more than that. He is not in the same class as Robbie Keane for example, so £5m would be way too much. |

So how much is he gonna cost? £2-£3mil? Yeah right, Jordan would want more. As Penguin put it, it'd be more like £5mil, and you could probably get Robbie Keane for that. Hmmmmm Keane or AJ? Sorry but Keane everytime for me. AJ is good but not great. He'd be useful, but only for the right price and it won't happen. We won't spend big, we'll be lucky to spend anymore than a million. ....definately no-one to break the bank on wages, if we were to go down. |

Everton and Spurs had bids of £7mil turned down for Aj in the summer. I expect Palace would be looking for around that figure. |

Depending on how much he would cost, bring him home I say he would fight the cause for Blues. And the thing with Bruce selling him could be resolved, we all make mistakes **thumbup |

He would of scored a lot more if he hadn't been brought down so much, so what if a lot of goals were pens. He won most of them himself so i would settle for him doing that for us. |

no way aj will come back as there are to many things against it - all mentioned in earlier posts. earnshaw is ok but baggies fans i speak to arent convinced about him.i doubt if albion would sell him to a fellow relegation candidate anyway. |

2 problems with that logic prob 1........don't think the price you quoted would be near what would be needed to acquire anyone of these players prob 2........i also dont think their stats favour well against when AJ's ,when he was in the premiership i would just personally offer Simon Jordan 3mill for AJ on a take it or leave it scenario and see if AJ himself could engineer a move to our place the same way cabbage did to cackburn....and thinking about it the same way Brucie did lol |

No doubt wishful thinking, but if we were to spending a few million on a forward in Jan, I'd love it to be on Louis Saha - maybe £3-4 million would do it? If we had another 10 points on the board, we would have a better chance of persuading him though. |
